Payroll Accountant Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Preparing ledger entries with earnings and deductions.<\/li>\n
  2. Entering payroll information and maintaining payroll files.<\/li>\n
  3. Calculating salaries, overtime earnings, and holidays deductions.<\/li>\n
  4. Issuing pay slips in a timely manner.<\/li>\n
  5. Generating payroll reports for Finance Manager (FM) to review.<\/li>\n
  6. Updating payroll systems, including employment hires and terminations.<\/li>\n
  7. Attending to payroll inquiries from employees.<\/li>\n
  8. Prepare accounting files, records, and schedules.<\/li>\n
  9. Monitor paid and unpaid leaves.<\/li>\n
  10. Resolve payroll problems (e.g. overlooked bank holidays, late payments, etc.)<\/li>\n
  11. Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes and attend to payroll audits when required.<\/li>\n
  12. And any other payroll duties as may be assigned from time to time by the FM<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Payroll Accountant Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting<\/li>\n
    2. A minimum of two years’ experience as a Payroll Accountant, or in a similar role.<\/li>\n
    3. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & any Payroll Software – knowledge in Navision is added advance.<\/li>\n
    4. Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments.<\/li>\n
    5. In-depth knowledge of applicable Burundi labor & tax laws.<\/li>\n
    6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Langues<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Fluent in French & Kirundi, English is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
