We are the changemakers, the peacemakers, the mighty of heart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learn\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianaid.org.uk\/our-work\/about-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">about our vision, mission and values<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About the role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To lead and manage United Nation Peace Building Fund project and portfolio of partners and staff within the Burundi programme and within a strategic and policy framework agreed with the Country Director and divisional head.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About you<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u00a0<\/strong><strong>possess;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in a development related subject or equivalent with specialization in any of the following areas \u2013 Gender and Inclusion, Social and Community Development and Social Cohesion\u2013 experience in multiple areas is added advantage<\/li>\n<li>At least 10 years of progressive experience in humanitarian, peace building and development experience with at least a minimum of 3 years in management role.<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial mindset and practice, a self-leader, team player and decisive person.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of development issues in the context of Burundi, of programme management tools and techniques, including financial management tools, of organisational development, of capacity building tools and techniques<\/li>\n<li>Substantial experience of international development programme management, including of management of back donor funded projects, and field-based management<\/li>\n<li>Multi-sectorial knowledge and\/or experience in gender and inclusion, governance, social cohesion, partner management and conflict management<\/li>\n<li>A team culture approach to work with an attitude of self-leadership, thought leadership, respect, mutual accountability, and being connected and co-creating with others.<\/li>\n<li>Emergency relief, preparedness and humanitarian aid and their integration and linkage to long-term development work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competency questions\u00a0<em>(if required)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of your application you will be asked to demonstrate your suitability by giving answers to the following questions:<\/p>\n<p>1.
